My Favorite Pokemon | Dec 1 2025

I think the best way to kick off the Pokemon section is to give a list of my favorites in (somewhat) correct order. Also, I have a tendency to refer to Pokemon as he or she, instead of they or preferably it. Just saying though, if you think of these Pokemon as the opposite gender that I do, you have a problem. ESPECIALLY if you do with the first one on this list.

  1. LURANTIS. You saw this one coming, all of you. If you didn't, go to any of my main accounts and take a look at the profile picture. Or just look at the favicon of this website. You won't be confused anymore. Anyway though, I just really love this one. I mainly love the legs, It really looks like like pajama pants and my headcanon is that they are, and she just looks adorable in them. I also love her big, red eyes. They're so pretty, I wish I could just stare into them for hours.. Is that weird? Whatever, I just really love her. I could seriously talk for hours and explain every single detail that I love about her. Let's just move on.
  2. Meowscarada. She used to be my favorite for a while, even being my Discord and Steam profile picture for a long time. I just really like cats, as you'll probably see later on. Just a really cute and fluffy Pokemon, we need more of that in our lives. Or mine at least.
  3. Braixen. Also really like this one, more recently though compared to some others on this list. The magic stick is a really fun design. This isn't actually the only non fully evolved Pokemon on this list. I just don't like Delphox that much. Still like her, but less.
  4. Gardevoir. Before you freak out and say, "Ew, you like Gardevoir? You're freaky," let me explain. Yes, she's a really goonable Pokemon, and I'm not gonna deny that I don't hate the freaky stuff, but it's more than that. I like the Pokemon that are, like, Pseudo-human? I don't know how to explain it. But I like to imagine that these type of Pokemon could function almost identically to humans, if you get what I'm saying. They could definitely talk if they tried. Like imagine getting in a taxi and the driver is a Gardevoir. Wouldn't that be fun? Or having a Gardevoir coworker, or a Gardevoir girlfriend. I mean, I would like that.
  5. Torracat. This is another example of the halfway evolved Pokemon being on my favorites list, and an example of the cats as well. He's super fuzzy and cute. Wouldn't having a big pet cat be nice? But, I don't like Incineroar. I'm just not a fan of the design. Not into the wrestler thing.
  6. Weavile. Talk about an AMAZING design. The ice/dark is a nice combo (dark is my favorite type) and the whole backstory is just really cool. I also love the general color scheme, and I just love her claws. She's been one of my favorites for a long time, maybe my third oldest favorite on this list.
  7. Clefable. I love this one because of how cute it is, obviously, but also how unpopular it is. I prefer the unpopular Pokemon for few reasons. Yeah, it's sad that she don't get much art made of her, but also because it feels extra special to find someone in the wild that loves the same Pokemon as you. It's another reason why I love Lurantis. There's actually this one OC of a Clefable with glasses or something that I adore.
  8. Sandslash. I LOVE THIS DUDE. Such a chill Pokemon. I love the claws and all the spines on her back. It's like a hedgehog, but a million times better. Another Pokemon with just a flawless design.
  9. Mew. Here's the third cat-like Pokemon that I just adore. I love the mystery surrounding her and the rarity behind one of the first Mythical Pokemon. Not much else I can explain, just a cute little floating dude with a very pretty design.
  10. Absol. This is another one where the design is just.. so awesome. I love how it can, like, detect the weather, but because of that, people think that it causes the weather. I don't think sad is the right term to describe the backstory, but I think it's close. It's like the Ogerpon story in the DLC (spoiler warning, sorry).
  11. Mawile. I'm just a sucker for cute things. This Pokemon is just adorable. The giant mouth thing is kinda scary, especially if she was in real life, but still cute regardless. It seems so easy to accidentally make it mad and lose your hand. I hate just thinking about that.

Those are all the ones that I can specifically point out, and care enough to explain fully, but I still love so many more. Here's an unordered list of some of my other favorites, but not favorite enough to get their own spot and detailed explanation on the list.

Well, that's the end. Very long first post, I know. More to come soon though, this one took three days of on and off work to complete. If you read the whole thing, thanks. You're awesome.
